The main attack helicopter of the US Army since the mid-1980s. As of 2014, it is the most common attack helicopter in the world. The AH-64Ds are equipped with a new friend-or-foe identification system that prevents damage to own troops, and powerful means of exchanging information between helicopters, helicopter and headquarters, or helicopter and guidance aircraft at ranges of up to 227 km. The cabin equipment has also changed: instead of instrument panels, two multifunctional displays are installed, on which all the necessary information is displayed.
