F/A-18E Super Hornet is a multi-role carrier-based fighter developed by Boeing. Significantly improved over the F/A-18A/C Hornet, it has evolved from a medium-sized carrier-based fighter designed to attack ground targets into a multi-role fighter that can fight for air supremacy and is capable of attacking land and sea targets. The surfaces of this aircraft are covered with radio-absorbing material, which significantly reduces its radar visibility and gives the aircraft low-visibility combat capabilities. The F/A-18E has up to 11 suspension points and carries almost all of the US Navy's munitions, including Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) and Joint Countermeasures Weapons.
