The 1S12 (also referred to in the West as "Long Track" in NATO reports) is a 3-D UHF radar developed and operated in the former Soviet Union.
The development of the P-40 began in 1960, by 1962 the radar passed state tests and in 1963 was adopted by the anti-aircraft troops of the Soviet Army.
