A design feature of the BR86 steam locomotive was the use of a large amount of fuel and especially water. For their transportation, it was necessary to use a special tender wagon, on which stocks were placed. This steam locomotive was designed to work in mountainous terrain, in conditions of a large number of curves and a weak superstructure of the track.
