Snuffler squigs are a sub-variety bred specifically to sleuth out the most potent magical fungi they can find.
The handlers themselves are not suitably equipped for fighting. But combined with their squig's ability to find the fungi that the Goblins rely on so thoroughly, even the meekest of Goblins can become ferocious combatants with a strength that belies their size.
