The Aero L-59 Super Albatros is a Czech military trainer aircraft developed from the earlier L-39 Albatross. Compared to its predecessor, it featured a strengthened fuselage, a longer nose, a significantly updated cabin, improved avionics (including a head-up display), and a more powerful engine. When it first flew on September 30, 1986, it was designated L-39MS.
