The first version of the T-55S1 was a tank from which the weapons were removed and the embrasure was plugged. The rest of the layout remained unchanged. Sets of combat equipment were removed from the tank. In the vacated space, an instructor’s seat was installed, on which the driver’s instruments were duplicated. The weight of the tank decreased by 6 tons. The maximum speed increased to 73-75 km/h. The crew consists of 2 people: an instructor and a driver. The KMT-6 spear mine trawl is designed to overcome mine pits made from anti-tank mines. Can be used on all types of Soviet medium tanks: T-55, T-62, T-64, T-72, T-80. The principle of operation is based on extracting mines and throwing them aside outside the tracks.
